inspired by the shadow of the wind by carlos ruiz zafón (my new literary crush) i have booked a trip to barcelona for half term hols coming up in only a month! i'll walk the streets searching for the angel of the mist, eat tapas and master another citys subway system. ya-ta!

Seriously though, I am so glad that you are actually going through with your plan to see Europe with Essex (sorry, Chelmsford) as your base!
I am just about to start reading 'the shadow of the wind', it is sitting on my bedside table, ready to go.
Wow - Daniel went over to Barcelona from the UK on a whim in July and wouldn't stop raving about it! What a carrot to dangle to get through the term... eat lots and lots of tapas for me!

AND i got my flights for 20 pounds return! add all the airport tax to that and it is still only 60 pounds all up.. this europe thing is gold..

Gloat away, it don't bother me. I'm moving to a tropical paradise where the streets are paved in pho and bia hoi!
